The residence
Brickell Key is a residential island a single bridge away from Brickell, Miami's financial district, with a residents' lane at the vehicle gate and security around the clock. Residence 1604 holds a corner of the 16th floor at Courvoisier Courts, with a wraparound balcony and floor-to-ceiling glass facing three ways: the downtown skyline across the water, Biscayne Bay, and the island's gardens and pool below.
This is not an ordinary Miami rental. The residence was renovated with no expense spared, in one of the best-maintained buildings on the island, and arrives fully furnished with European designer pieces, Italian marble floors and bathrooms, a custom walk-in closet and a full laundry. Bring a suitcase, not a moving truck.

An open living and dining room under crown mouldings, with Italian marble throughout and sliding glass to the balcony on two sides. Soft ivory seating, sculptural lighting and black lacquer accents set the tone.
Kitchen
Stainless appliances, granite counters and a breakfast nook, with its own door to the balcony. A Terra Kaffe super-automatic machine waits for those who know what a proper morning espresso should be.
Bedrooms
The primary suite has city views, a custom walk-in closet and a glass mosaic walk-in shower. The second bedroom sleeps three with built-in bunks and a full bed, ready for family or visiting friends.
Baths and laundry
Marble-clad bathrooms with a soaking tub and a walk-in shower, a powder room for guests, and a full-size washer and dryer inside the residence.
Design

The building
A 28-story bayfront tower on the northern edge of Brickell Key, with a marble lobby, staff around the clock and a pool deck at the water's edge. One of the best-maintained buildings on the island.

Location
Brickell Key is a 44-acre residential island linked by a single bridge to Brickell, with a residents' lane at the vehicle gate and 24-hour security. Walk to Brickell City Centre, or be at the airport, the beach or the port in about twenty minutes.
Times are approximate and outside peak traffic.
The season
Miami's season runs from November through April: Art Basel in December, the boat show in February, the Miami Open in March and Formula 1 in May. A six-month lease from November covers the season; begin in December and the term runs through the Grand Prix, with the island's calm to come home to.
